Jen brings a world of passion to everything she does. She graduated from Lafayette College (BA in Economics) and immediately launched a career in software implementation consulting. Once Jen had the pleasure of helping a few friends and family decorate their homes, she began evening coursework in Interior Design at NYU School of Continuing Ed. After moving from Manhattan to the Hamptons, she continued her design coursework locally while working as a designer at a nearby design showroom. Over the years, Jen took on design projects of increasing scope and complexity, leveraging her consulting experience to expertly manage client expectations, budgets and timelines. With many years of design and project experience under her belt, Jen launched JKate Designs in 2015.

Living in the Hamptons year round, Jen's design aesthetic is influenced by the area's natural surroundings. Her unique style combines the light and breezy characteristics of coastal living with the human affinity for comfort and color. We call this combination "artfully layered coastal interiors".
