Project Coastal Fab

One for the record books, the Coastal Fab project was an amazing thrill of freedom and fun with design.  We had remarkable collaboration and trust with our clients.  The home was purchased as an East Hampton summertime getaway, and desperately needed customization in the critical areas of both aesthetic design style and functional space planning.  We moved the kitchen to the dining room, marrying the two spaces with the living room and den via cased openings.  The playful bunk beds in the kids' bedroom were custom built, as were the bookcases in the den, bench/cubbies in the foyer, and the dramatic wood beams in the living room.  Colorful textiles and curated lighting and accessories finished off the look with an elevated touch.

Timeless Tudor

Set in the exclusive Heights neighborhood of Ridgewood, New Jersey, this soulful French Tudor style home was in need of some updating, however it was imperative that the design focus on blending the old with the new, and retaining the traditional character of the home whilst freshening the decor and introducing modern conveniences.  The kitchen and primary bathroom were gut renovations, and a spare bedroom was converted into a 'hers' closet and private home office off of the primary bedroom.  The remaining 3 guest bedrooms, living room, family room, parlor and dining room were redesigned with an emphasis on layered details, timeless yet elevated decor, and comfort.

SH Summer Retreat Rehab

This 1913 Southampton home was completely gutted in 2001, and subsequently untouched for 20 years.  The home needed a major facelift in kitchen and all 3.5 bathrooms as well as fresh paint, updated flooring and many unseen upgrades in mechanicals, plumbing, etc.   Interior design involved blending antiques with new purchases to yield a cohesive coastal look focusing on beach style with West Coast and New England influences.  Now it’s ready for endless family gatherings and perhaps a rental or two in between!

Coastal Casual Sitting Room

This room was a blank slate with little purpose.  As avid readers who love to entertain friends and family, it was decided that the room was destined to become a sitting room/library for the homeowners and their guests.

Living Room

These lovely new homeowners purchased this 4 bedroom shingle-style beach house in 2019.  With the necessary light and airy structural components in place (whitewash floors, white kitchen, simple white bathrooms,) we set to work choosing fun and contemporary coastal colors and patterns to furnish the home with function + style.  In addition, some dead space in the back of the dining room was the perfect spot to build a dream bar with wine and beverage fridges, an ice maker and tons of storage.  As we neared the finish of the decorating, the homeowners chose to tackle a few more construction projects including restructuring a porch into an all seasons sunroom, renovating the ensuite and pool bathrooms, and building an addition with a new mudroom, pantry closet and powder room.  The resulting home has a cohesive design that's highly comfortable, stylish and feels like a family home and a relaxing getaway all-in-one.

Quogue Beach House

Boy, do I love getting new clients via referral from past clients!  I was thrilled when my dear clients from the East Hampton Coastal Eclectic and Manhattan Makeover projects passed along my name and a recommendation to the lovely new owners of this Quogue shingle-style "Hamptons" home.  I enjoyed every moment of working with this family to transform the existing home (which was in great condition) into a light and airy "beachy" abode with a contemporary edge that would serve as a vacation getaway for this Manhattan-based family.  The entire home (3 floors; 4 bedrooms; 3 1/2 bathrooms) was made-over including paint, flooring, all lightning fixtures, all furnishings, window-treatments, decor/styling, and custom built-in benches flanking the master bedroom fireplace.  The open-minded and unbelievably kind homeowners were amazing clients to work with and have been kind enough to continue the chain of referrals.  Thank you!

East Hampton Coastal Eclectic

Jen collaborated with the new homeowners of this East Hampton property to design and furnish their newly purchased 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom beach home.  From a renovation perspective, the scope of the project included paint selection and floor finish consultation.  She also sourced every furnishing, element of decor, window treatment, and all of the other odds and ends you need in a second home (e.g. linens, dishware, small appliances, etc.)  The project was a unique challenge because the time-frame of the project was 2 months and the homeowners didn't close on the house until the 5th week.  Due to the extremely friendly, flexible and highly responsive clients who have the most amazing positive attitude, Jen was able to deliver the completed home on time and on budget.

Coastal Living Room

These homeowners purchased their first second-home as an income property in Hampton Bays, NY.  Nestled in a quiet property near Peconic Bay, this charming house needed furnishings and decor, and FAST!....  My clients closed in April and needed the property ready to start rentals on July 1st.  We were able to source from in stock inventory and pull from some of the client's existing furniture in order to transform this house into a home on time and on budget!  A project of this size and timeline would not have ended so successfully had it not been for the open minded and trusting personalities of these lovely clients!  It was a fun partnership and truly a memorable project. :)

Hamptons Income Property

We were fortunate to have engaged with this client in the early stages of architectural design for the renovation and addition to this 1980's ranch-style home located in Southampton, NY.   Once the floor plan and roof sketches were complete, we aligned with the architect to finalize the structural details and prepare the plans for permits, etc.
The original (dated) layout lacked a large open floor plan, had no 'expandable' dining area, and had 3 (not 4) bedrooms which were key priorities for the homeowners.  In order to meet the requirements, the project scope involved incorporating the existing attached garage into living space, building a new semi-attached garage, adding ~500 sq. feet of new space (addition,) and gutting/re-designing 80% of of the existing space.  The original home included 1,950 sq. ft of living space, whilst the final result measured at roughly 3,200 sq. ft.   
From a style perspective the client wanted to strike a balance between a contemporary farmhouse exterior, coupled with interiors conveying the same contemporary style alongside the minimalist comfort of Scandinavian-influenced design.
The result is a comfortable, stylish and highly functional year-round residence for this Hamptons-based family of 4.
